The WID is very pleased to share a historic announcement made on October 9, 2020 by the provincial government.

A significant investment into irrigated agriculture across the province, including within the WID, will provide for an accelerated timeline for projects to modernize our canals and pipelines. The funding will serve irrigators, and in turn Albertans, for generations to come.
